Stamp Ink Paper #138 - Cardmaker's choice Happy Birthday Anna


Hi Everyone,

Welcome to this week's challenge at Stamp Ink Paper.  I'm so happy that this week is our Cardmaker's Choice challenge so that I can share with you the Birthday card I made for my daughter who turned 17 on Sunday.




She is a makeup loving girl with an addiction for Eyeshadow Palettes so that was my inspiration for creating her birthday card this year.


Here it is, and she loved it.  So did her sister who I showed a preview to and she said it was the coolest card I've ever made.  How's that for a compliment from another Makeup loving girl.  It made my day.




I'm happy to say all the products used to create this card whether they are current products or retired, were all from my Stampin' Up! supplies including the Circle punch and dies.  Here's a closer look at the Eyeshadow pans.  Some used Foil, some Glimmer paper and Wink of Stella over the coloured card.  The base of the card is Basic Black Cardstock and the pans are sitting on Sahara Sand and Fresh Fig Cardstock with some Gold Foil used for the Happy Birthday greeting.





I made this card as a trifold wallet style, so that it would be easily folded to go in an envelope and can be displayed (leaning up against something) so as to show off the palette colours and keep the message inside personal and private for me posting online.

Isn't this pretty.  It was on her Christmas wishlist, but I saved it for her Birthday.

Finally, here's a pic of Anna's Birthday cake.  It was a pretty sponge with soft blue icing and glitter edible sprinkles on top.




I'm so happy with this card that I got to create for my daughter and even more happy that she loved it which is the most important thing.   I'm also pleased that this week's Stamp Ink Paper challenge allows you to share your creativity in whatever way you please.  Its your choice and I'm happy I could share mine with you today.  Please check out what the rest of our talented Stamp Ink Paper team have created for you this week.

Hello Everyone, Welcome to our Wednesday card sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.  Here's our sketch this week    I'm using some designer papers called Merry Moments combined with Festival of Trees stamp and greeting from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  The cardstock used is Whisper White and Smoky Slate with inks of Old Olive and Real Red.  The greeting comes from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and has been punched out with the Washi Tape punch. Here's a closer look.  I love how the Designer papers add so much colour this this card.  The Festival of trees stamp has been combined with the Tree punch for this card. Light up your Christmas

Hi Everyone, You all know how I love my Easel Cards right?  Well I've added a little light to them in the form of the little battery operated candles.  Neil bought me some boxes of them online.  I've been playing around with a couple of different designs which are for an upcoming class of very Special Christmas cards with my group but thought you might like to see them.  This is the first one I've done using the retired stamp set Christmas Lodge.  It's a gorgeous set with this beautiful tree and really suits a vintage style Christmas Card.  I've also used the Deco Label Framelits which are fast becoming a favourite and the Beautifully Baroque and Fancy Fan Embossing Folders. The Cardstock is Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. I have the light on so you can see the gorgeous effect from the little candle.  Here is a photo when it's off.
