Stamp, Ink, Paper #88 - Anything but a Card

Image
Hi Everyone, Welcome to our challenge at Stamp, Ink, Paper .  This week we challenge you to do something different, in fact anything other than a card.  I've decided to decorate an Easter Egg carton for my niece.  It also showcases some Stampin' Up! products and was inspired by another upcoming challenge as well.  Come and take a look. I have this done a little early for Easter, I'll admit.  But I'm hoping it may also inspire others to try decorating one of these cute Egg cartons.  They come in a natural colour, however I coloured mine with a spray bottle of water with Sweet Sugarplum ink mixed in. On top, I've decorated with some Daffodil delight card which was embossed with the new Hexagons embossing folder, a Bee from the Dragonfly bundle, a flower which was punched from Brown Wrapping paper and scrunched and some Very Vanilla lace and Sweet Sugarplum ribbon.  The greeting comes from a retired stamp set called Well Scripted which I've cut with t

Hi Everyone, Here's a card I made for my recent card class and display of Beautiful You cards that I've made since I received my stamp set. This was a simple card using the Watercolour pencils with blender pends, some dsp, lace and cardstock of Calypso Coral and Whisper White. This is a closeup of the image. This is a pic of all of my Beautiful You cards on display. Hope you've enjoyed seeing my cards.  Have a wonderful day.

Paper Craft Crew Challenge #232 - Carousel 16th Birthday Easel Card

Image
Hi and welcome to the Wednesday card sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew .  We hope you will join us and create with this sketch below. I've just received a brand new stamp set called Carousel Birthday which I've teamed with Cupcakes and Carousels Designer paper stack for this card.  I've stayed fairly true to the card sketch for the card front, but decided I would make an easel card for another upcoming 16th Birthday for a friend of my daughter.  Yes she's just turned 16 and so will all her friends this year. The cardstock used is Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Watermelon Wonder.  This is the front panel below which I've used for the sketch.  Layering Oval framelits were used for the greeting. Here's a closeup of the base of the card. I used the Large Number dies to create the number 16 from the negative of the die.  The black 16 was taken out and used on another card and I then mat the black onto the Watermelon Wonder

Stamp, Ink, Paper #87 - Up and Away Kindness

Image
Hi Everyone, Welcome to another week at Stamp, Ink, Paper.  Here's our new theme for this week's challenge - KINDNESS,  and couldn't we all do with a little bit more of this in our lives and the world right now. My card is made with the Up and Away stamp set and matching framelits.  It will just be one of those cards I have on hand to send someone who may need cheering up.  A random act of kindness, so to speak.  Receiving Happy Mail is always nice no matter what the occasion. Here's my card using cardstock of Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, Night of Navy and Whisper White.  The Dsp is from the Sale-a-bration pack called Carried Away. The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy ink and was cut with the Lots of Labels framelits. Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you feel inspired to join our Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge and make a card for our Kindess theme this week. Have a great day.

Happy 16th Birthday Anna

Hi Everyone, It was a big day for us yesterday with my youngest turning 16.  We had a small party at home with a few of her friends sleeping over for the night and we had a Vegan friendly chocolate cake made for the party at my daughter's request.  She & her Sister are both Vegans (I am not).  I'll share a few photos at the bottom on my post. She also requested Jack Skellington (Nightmare before Christmas) for her birthday card.  Not being familiar with that Character I googled and ended up printing an image for the card I made for her.  She gave it her approval, lol. Here's the card I made. The patterned paper was from a Halloween Basic Gray stack I had in my stash and the numbers are cut with framelits.  The cardstock is Basic Black for the outside and Whisper White on the inside with some Silver Glimmer. I made a Popup for the inside of the card which makes it a little more special than what first appears. Here's a closer look The di

Stamp, Ink, Paper #86 - Colour Challenge with Perfect Mix

Image
Hi Everyone, Happy Valentine's Day & welcome to this week's challenge at Stamp, Ink, Paper .  This week its this fun colour combination.  Can't wait to see how you use these ones. I've used a new set from the SU Occasions catalogue called Perfect Mix.  My daughter is leaving home and moving to Brisbane for Uni and I thought of her as soon as I saw this set.  I will miss her help in the kitchen.  She loves to cook and bake and usually cooks us dinner a couple of nights a week. These are the co-ordinating cards I made.  The first 2 are for her to give her new flatmates and the third one, which is a take on the "Z" fold is a design I cased from Bronwyn Eastley.  I saw hers using the Hey Chick SAB set and thought it was rather clever and I had to try it out. My cardstock is SU colours Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Whisper White.  The yellow was incorporated in the colouring and the Dsp from a retired pack called Eastern Elegance. Image

Hi Everyone, Welcome to our Love themed challenge this week at the Paper Craft Crew . I've made my card with the Bloomin Hearts framelits and Beautiful You stamps and finished it off with some Basic Rhinestones. The cardstock is Cherry Cobbler, Blushing Bride & Blushing Bride Glimmer paper. Here are closeup pictures below. Simple make your card based on our theme, which doesn't have to be Valentine's Day but could be for any purpose where love is required like Wedding, Baby or Anniversary.  We look forward to seeing what you create for the Paper Craft Crew challenge. Have a great day.
