Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge 213 - Affectionately Yours

Image
Hi Everyone, Welcome to our weekly challenge at the Paper Craft Crew .  Here is this week's sketch. I am using some of the Specialty foil sheet from the Affectionately Yours designer paper pack combined with the Thoughtful Branches stamp set and cardstock Night of Navy, Pool Party, Whisper White and some Copper Foil. I've used a simple punched butterfly from the Copper Foil for my embellishment on this card along with copper thread underneath the banner.  The greeting was embossed with Copper embossing powder. Thanks so much for stopping by today.  This is a great sketch which we hope you will join in with.  Can't wait to see your creation at the Paper Craft Crew. Have a great day.

Stamp Ink Paper #67 - Oh Christmas Tree

Image
Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday to you, Welcome to our challenge this week at Stamp, Ink, Paper.    We have a sketch for you to play along with. I'm making another Christmas card using the Tree framelit from Santa's Sleigh set. The cardstock I've used is Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Gold Glimmer.  The patterned paper is from the specialty pack called First Christmas. I've used the Merry Christmas greeting from the set Teeny Tiny Sentiments along with retired Word Window punch and Bitty Banner framelits. It's really a great sketch which is very versatile.  I'm sure you will agree when you see all the inspiration this week from our talented Design Team.  We look forward to you playing at at the Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge. Have a great day.

Happy Birthday Justin

Hi Everyone, I wanted to show you a card that was made at my last class using the Thoughful Branches bundle.  It's called a Corner Pop Up card and I've included a link below so you can see how they are made. Here's the front of the card, The cardstock I've used was Basic Black for the base card, Very Vanilla, Bermuda Bay and Early Espresso.  Here are some pictures of the the inside,  and closeups of all sides. I thought this card would be perfect for my friend in NY, the famous Justin Krieger of JK Cards our fabulous Team Leader of the Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge and business owner of the store by the same name.  His birthday was earlier this month and my card arrived just in time.  It is a perfect for a man and in his colours because I know he likes these colours and is also a fan of birds.  I managed to incorporate a few little ones in the trees... Paper Craft Crew Challenge 212 - Petals & Paisley Butterfly card

Image
Hi Everyone, Welcome to this week's colour challenge at the Paper Craft Crew which are shown below. For my 3 of the 4 colours I've chosen Night of Navy and Emerald Envy as the main ones and tied in the Crushed Curry (from the background in the Paisley) and some Gold Glimmer which I think matches quite well in a metallic sparkly way of course.  This is my first time using the Petals and Paisley specialty dsp and I really like it. The paper is so pretty and really does not need much embellishment, so I only added a Birthday greeting to this card from the Butterfly basics stamp set, stamped in Night of Navy Ink directly onto the Emerald cardstock and a Butterfly which was layered and cut out using the Butterfly & Bold Butterfly thinlits.  Here's a closeup. Thanks so much for stopping by.  We can't wait to see what you create with the colours for this week's challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.

Stamp, Ink, Paper #66 - Christmas Tags

Image
Hello Everyone, Welcome to our "Anything but a Card" challenge this week at Stamp, Ink, Paper. I made some tags for Christmas using the Scallop Topper punch and Santa's Sleigh framelits. They are rather cute, aren't they.  The cardstock is Whisper White for the tags and greetings and the Deer have been cute from Copper foil, the wreath from Mossy Meadow and Red Glimmer for the bow.  I used some Real Red grosgrain ribbon thru the tags and the greeting comes from Teeny Tiny sentiments stamp set. To on the front of the tag and from on the back of the tag (which I didn't photograph) stamped in Real Red ink is from the set Oh What Fun. I hope you will join in our challenge this week to create something other than a card.  We look forward to you joining us at Stamp, Ink, Paper .

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch Challenge 211 - Santa's Sleigh Glitter card

Image
Hi Everyone, Welcome to the Wednesday Card sketch challenge this week at the Paper Craft Crew . Today I'm using Santa's Sleigh dies and background paper from the Candy Cane Lane designer pack.  This card is very sparkly because I've used three colours of Glimmer paper Gold, Red and Dazzling Diamonds (for the Stars).  I've also used some Metallic Silver cord underneath my greeting from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments set punched out with the vintage Modern Label punch.  The card uses a Whisper White thick card base. A closeup of the sleigh. Thanks so much for stopping by today.  We hope you will join us at the Paper Craft Crew Challenge.  Have a great day.

Stamp, Ink, Paper #65 - Detailed Floral Thank You

Image
Hello Everyone, Welcome to our challenge this week at Stamp, Ink, Paper. I've gone completely away from the blues and used cardstock of Watermelon Wonder with an earlier SU In Colour called Crisp Cantaloupe which I've teamed with some older Floral paper from my stash. The main feature of this card is the lovely right hand panel which was cut off the edge of my Watermelon Wonder cardstock with the Detailed Floral Framelits.  I then folded my card and lined the inside with the contrasting Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock and rounded of the back corners with my Envelope maker.  Here's a closer look at the detail. To finish off the front of the card I added a greeting from the Rose Wonder stamp set and a die cut Butterfly cut with Bold Butterfly and Butterfly thinlits layered together with cardstock and Dazzling Diamonds glimmer underneath. No pretty floral card would be complete without a butterfly would it?  Here's a closeup. Thanks so much

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch Challenge 210 - Santa's Sleigh Reindeer Card

Image
Hi Everyone, Welcome to our sketch challenge this week at the Paper Craft Crew.   Here's our fabulous sketch thanks to Pam.  Can't wait to see what you create with this one. I've used some elements from the Santa's Sleigh bundle in the Stampin Up Holiday catalogue here.  The Cardstock is Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede, Whisper White, Copper Foil and Gold Glimmer papers.  The greeting is from an older stamp set called Petite pairs and the patterned paper is from the Holiday pack called Candy Cane. The Deer on the card was stamped and heat embossed with Copper embossing powder onto the Soft Suede cardstock before being diecut and the Starburst dies behind are retired. I'm quite pleased with how this turned out.  Please let me know what you think of it.  I like reading your comments. Thanks for joining us this week at the Paper Craft Crew challenge.  We can't wait to see what you create.  Have a great day.

Stamp Ink Paper #64 - Less is more with Serene Scenes

Image
Hi everyone, Welcome to our Tuesday challenge at Stamp, Ink Paper .  This week we are going all CAS. I've used the Serene Scenes paper stack to create these cards.  The papers make such beautiful backgrounds and are great for CAS designs like these. The greeting from the SU Hostess set Time of Year has been stamped and heat embossed directly onto the background with Copper embossing powder and I've used some of our Copper thread underneath the Dragonfly and Butterfly which have also been embossed with Copper powder.   They come from the stamp sets Awesomely Artistic and Papillon Potpourri respectively. I actually made 3 of these cards from different background sheets in the Serene Scenes stack. They were adhered to a White metallic base from a pack of cards and matching envelopes that were purchased from Officeworks on a sale. I think they look quite effective.   We would love you to join in with this weeks challenge at Stamp, Ink, Paper
