17 Male Card

Hi Everyone,

I was asked to make a Birthday card for a 17 year old young man, so I turned to my new Number framelits to cut out the numbers for this simple design.

This is a no fuss teen friendly card using cardstock of Smoky Slate, Basic Black and Whisper White.  I've used a premade piece of marble patterned card made with the Shaving Foam technique from my previous class and used it for a strip of my own background paper and also to cut out the numbers which were cut twice, also in black as a shadow effect.  Here is a closer look.




The Deco Label framelits were used to cut and mat the number 17 and the Happy Birthday greeting comes from the SAB stamp set The Sky is the Limit which was stamped on Whisper White card and cut out with the Banner punch.

Hello Everyone, Welcome to our Wednesday card sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.  Here's our sketch this week    I'm using some designer papers called Merry Moments combined with Festival of Trees stamp and greeting from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  The cardstock used is Whisper White and Smoky Slate with inks of Old Olive and Real Red.  The greeting comes from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and has been punched out with the Washi Tape punch. Here's a closer look.  I love how the Designer papers add so much colour this this card.  The Festival of trees stamp has been combined with the Tree punch for this card. Light up your Christmas

Hi Everyone, You all know how I love my Easel Cards right?  Well I've added a little light to them in the form of the little battery operated candles.  Neil bought me some boxes of them online.  I've been playing around with a couple of different designs which are for an upcoming class of very Special Christmas cards with my group but thought you might like to see them.  This is the first one I've done using the retired stamp set Christmas Lodge.  It's a gorgeous set with this beautiful tree and really suits a vintage style Christmas Card.  I've also used the Deco Label Framelits which are fast becoming a favourite and the Beautifully Baroque and Fancy Fan Embossing Folders. The Cardstock is Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. I have the light on so you can see the gorgeous effect from the little candle.  Here is a photo when it's off.
