Birthday Card for Suzanne

Image
Hi everyone, A friend of mine who is also a Stampin up demonstrator just had a birthday and I decided that this would be the card I posted to her.  It features the Butterfly thinlit dies and a background made with the Shaving Cream technique. I've used this particular sheet before for other cards I've created and I really like he mix of Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss inks combine with Blackberry Bliss, Very Vanilla and Brushed Gold card.  The greeting used comes from the Rose Wonder stamp set.  I've also used my favourite Butterfly thinlit dies on this card. Thanks for stopping by today to see my card.  Happy Birthday Suzanne, I hope you had a fantastic Birthday weekend.

Stamp Ink Paper #45 Baby Theme - Pink or Blue Baby Easel Cards

Image
Hi Everyone, Welcome to our themed challenge this week For Baby at Stamp Ink Paper I made two cards for this challenge as I couldn't decide if I should make a girl or a boy baby card.  Why not make both and be prepared!  Both cards use a similar design and supplies. The papers used were from a vintage from my stash called Nursery Nest and the stamps are also vintage for both from Celebrate Today (Balloons) with matching framelits and Celebrate Baby (greeting).   Star framelits have also been used for both cards. The slight difference with the pink design is I added a Papillon Potpourri butterfly stamped in Rose Red to tie in the Celebrate greeting in the Balloon stamped with Blushing Bride.  The cardstock for this one is Whisper White and Dazzling Diamonds glimmer. The cardstock for the blue one is Island Indigo and Whisper White card with inks of Soft Sky and Island Indigo.  I used some Basic Rhinestones on the Baby Boy panel. Closeup of

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch Challenge 191 - Wildflower Fields Mother's Day

Image
Hi everyone, Welcome to the Wednesday challenge at the Paper Craft Crew .  This week we have a sketch for you as below:- I've use the Wildflower Fields designer paper pack which was only available during Sale-a-bration.  As the name suggests, they are pretty floral designs which I thought would be lovely for a Mother's Day card.  I've combined them with cardstock of Blackberry Bliss, Pool Party and Whisper white, adding a Paper Doily and a Papillion Potpourri stamped butterfly.  Here's my card. I was very happy with how this turned out and the combination of patterns, which one could argue are quite busy.  This is a closeup of the butterfly and the greeting from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set cut out with the Bitty Banner framelits. Looking forward to seeing your entry this week at the Paper Craft Crew challenge. Have a fantastic day.

Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #44 - Unchartered Territory

Image
Hello and welcome, This week we have a wonderful challenge using inspiration from the picture below.  We hope you will join us for this one at Stamp Ink Paper.   I wanted to use the lighthouse in my card and the only stamp that I knew about and used to own with a lighthouse was a Stampin' Up! set called Unchartered Territory.  It retired and I sold it off a few years ago, but thank goodness and has stamped myself a few images before I let it go, because it was an excellent set, and good for male cards.  So this week I've got to use something quite old and combined it with new papers from the Paper stack Going Places.  Here's my card. The cardstock is Tip Top Taupe, Very Vanilla and Basic Black.  i've used the Lots of Labels dies to cut my tag out and the Decorative Label punch for the sentiment. We look forward to you joining us at Stamp Ink Paper to see your creation.  Have a great day.

A Customer's Birthday card

Image
Hello everyone, One of my elderly customers is having a birthday over the weekend and I wanted to send her a card.  Now I make cards all of the time, and she generally sees what I make because she subscribes to my blog and likes to use my ideas for her own cards. Instead of creating something new, I looked through my supply of handmade cards to see if I already had something suitable, but not so recent that she wouldn't remember seeing it that I could send her. I found this one featuring the Baby Wipe technique on the background and an old retired stamp set called Just Believe. This style of card is called an Easel card and the bottom panel is raised for form an anchor for the Easel.  The cardstock was Basic Black an Whisper white with some glossy white used for the technique combined with our inks. This card turned out to be very pretty and is a technique the ladies enjoyed at class a while back.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Enjoy the rest of your weeken

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch Challenge 190 - Colour Challenge - By the Tide

Image
Hi Everyone, Welcome to this week's challenge at the Paper Craft Crew .  This week is a little different because instead of a sketch challenge we have these wonderful colours for you to choose from to create with. I chose Watermelon Wonder, Tempting Turquoise and Cucumber Crush for my 3 of the four and I added Whisper White and Basic Black. The stamps I've used are from By the Tide and Rose Wonder stamp sets.  The Watermelon Wonder ink was used only for the lobster on this card and sponging and stamping with both Cucumber Crush and Tempting turquoise inks were used for the other images and the background. I've also used the matching framelits to cut out the greeting that go with the Rose Wonder stamps. We are very much looking forward to seeing your creation with these colours for this week's challenge at the Paper Craft Crew . Have a great day.

The Sky is the Limit Masculine Card

Image
Hi everyone, Today's card was made with the Sale-a-bration stamp set called The Sky is the Limit.  One of my customers has requested more ideas for masculine cards and she really liked the aeroplane in this set. I started with a Square Card base cut from Basic Black and I've combined it with Lost Lagoon and Whisper White cardstock, plus a little dsp from the Moonlight Paper stack.  The inks used were Lost Lagoon, Soft Sky and Basic Black.  I've used the World Traveller Embossing folder on the Lost Lagoon background. I hope my customer is happy with this design.  I am, I think it will be a great male card. Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day.

Beth's Birthday Card

Image
Hi Everyone, I'm a little behind with my posts.  I'm sharing a card today that was made a few weeks ago for a friend of my daughter.  Yes, another 15 year old.  Many of her friends will be turning 15 this year, so I suspect I will get some use out of the Large number dies.  I made a card with this same layout 2 weeks ago using the Paper Craft Crew card sketch. Here's today's card which uses up some retired papers and purple card, for a Purple girl. The cardstock I've used is Perfect Plum, Basic Black, Whisper White and Wisteria Wonder. The greeting is from the vintage set Label Love which has been punched with the Artisan Label punch.  The numbers were cut with the new Large Number dies and mounted on a Whisper White oval cut with the Oval collection framelits. I also used my Scallop border punch to add the finishing trim to the diagonal edge of patterned paper. Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you had a great weekend.

Wonderful Mother Butterfly Card

Image
Hi Everyone, Today I wanted to share one of the Mother's Day cards I've created recently as I am taking a bunch up to the Gift Store tomorrow that I sometimes supply with cards.  Mother's Day is just around the corner in Australia and they usually sell quite well there. This one features a layered butterfly using the Butterfly and Bold Butterfly thinlit & framelit dies in one of my favourite colours.  Come and take a look. The cardstock is Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry and Dazzling Diamonds.  The Whisper White background was embossed with the Lovely Lace embossing folder.  Here's the full view of my card. The patterned design is from the In Colour 12 x 12 paper stack from last year and the greeting comes from a favourite vintage stamp set called Well Scripted.  Here is a closeup. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your day.

Image
Hi Everyone, Welcome to the Wednesday Card Sketch challenge this week at the Paper Craft Crew The cardstock I've used today is Perfect Plum, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White and a little tiny bit of Hello Honey for a butterfly.  The stamp set used for this beautiful flower is called You've got this.  I've used my Blendability markers to colour it on the Whisper White banner and used a Mother's Day greeting on this card.  The vellum butterfly background was from a retired Paper stack. Here is a closer look at the Flower below. The Decorative Label punch was used down the side underneath my banner to fit with this week's sketch, which I've kept true to. This is a great sketch so we are hoping that you will join us and show us what you create with it.  For more inspiration head on over to the Paper Craft Crew to see more designs. Have a great day.
