Butterfly Wishes


Hello All,

How are you going?  It's been stressful in the lead up to Christmas and you could call me Sadie the cleaning lady, and that would be rather accurate.  But I did take time out briefly to play with my new Butterfly Thinlit dies and I made this card.  Come and have a look at what I did.




The cardstock I used was Coastal Cabana, Basic Gray and Whisper White.  I've used the largest of the Butterfly dies to cut this one out of  Basic Gray card then I brayered a piece of vellum card with Hello Honey and Blushing Bride and adhered it to the back of the butterfly, cut it out and folded it up so it looks like its in flight.  A row of basic pearls have been used for the body.  The leaves on the background of the card were stamped from the Butterfly basics stamp set.  Here is the card.



The greeting was stamped with Bermuda bay and punched out with the Decorative Label punch and the Basic Gray panel it sits on was embossed with the Fancy Fan embossing folder.

I am loving this butterfly.

Hello Everyone, Welcome to our Wednesday card sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.  Here's our sketch this week    I'm using some designer papers called Merry Moments combined with Festival of Trees stamp and greeting from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  The cardstock used is Whisper White and Smoky Slate with inks of Old Olive and Real Red.  The greeting comes from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and has been punched out with the Washi Tape punch. Here's a closer look.  I love how the Designer papers add so much colour this this card.  The Festival of trees stamp has been combined with the Tree punch for this card. Light up your Christmas

Hi Everyone, You all know how I love my Easel Cards right?  Well I've added a little light to them in the form of the little battery operated candles.  Neil bought me some boxes of them online.  I've been playing around with a couple of different designs which are for an upcoming class of very Special Christmas cards with my group but thought you might like to see them.  This is the first one I've done using the retired stamp set Christmas Lodge.  It's a gorgeous set with this beautiful tree and really suits a vintage style Christmas Card.  I've also used the Deco Label Framelits which are fast becoming a favourite and the Beautifully Baroque and Fancy Fan Embossing Folders. The Cardstock is Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. I have the light on so you can see the gorgeous effect from the little candle.  Here is a photo when it's off.
