Happy Blooming Birthday Flower Patch Card

Image
Hello Everyone, How has your Sunday been?  I've been at the Sunshine Coast University today for the Modern Language Speech competition that my youngest daughter Anna was in.  There were students competing from all over the Coast as far south as Bribie Island delivering speeches in the languages they learn at school.  Anna learns French, but German, Japanese, Chinese & Italian were also represented.  I'm proud of her.  She did very well for her first time. Considering I've been out all day, with no card prepared in advance I've made a card with the Flower Patch Photopolymer stamp set which you can purchase in a bundle with matching Flower Fair framelits.  We had these stamps out at class yesterday, so it saved me time, stamping with these for another CAS card.  Come have a look at the blossom I've stamped this time. I've stamped the Flower in Rich Razzleberry ink and the leaves with Garden Green.  The cardstock used is Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz

Festival of Trees

Hello Everyone, Hope you are having a great start to your weekend.  I had a class this morning.  Its always so good to get together with the ladies for some crafting. Today I have another quick Christimas card I've made to show you the Festival of Trees bundle now available to order from our Holiday Catalogue.  I've stamped my trees onto some of the retired Midnight Muse Cardstock with the Illuminate Ink, which gives a subtle shimmer.  Have a look. The cardstock used is Soft Sky for the base card, Whisper White for the base to depict snow and Midnight Muse for the trees.  I've also stamped the greeting from the Wonderous Wreath stamp set with Midnight Muse ink directly onto the Soft Sky card.  Here's a pic of the whole card below. I've used Dazzling Details on the torn white edge and more Basic Rhinestones scattered above for some Frosty sparkle.  How easy would it be to make a batch of cards for these this Christmas.  Simple cards like this can be so

Hello Everyone, Thank God its Friday.  Its almost the weekend, and I have a busy one ahead.  I have a class on Saturday and on Sunday I have one daughter at work and the other at the University for a district French Speech competition.  This is her first time at this comp which is run anually and she's also the youngest student from our local High School attending.  Onto today's card.  I know I've been keeping it simply lately, but I do love a B & W card with a pop of red.  Its a classic colour combo.  Come and have a look at this image from Peaceful Petals which I've coloured with Blendabilities. The image has been cut out with the Oval Collection framelits and mounted on the Label Collection set.  My base card is Basic Black and the Whisper White background has been embossed with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder.   Here is the photo of the whole card. The greeting comes from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and I've used the Dotted Ribbon borde

Hello Everyone, Its been quite windy today and we even lost power for a while today.  Thankfully you don't need power to make handmade cards, but the lights do help.  I did manage to get this card made today in any case. I've used the Flower Patch bundle which consists of a Photopolymer stamp set and matching framelits from the new Holiday Catalogue, which starts today.  Yay!  Come and have a look. The cardstock used is Coastal Cabana, Early Espresso and Whisper White.  The inks used here are Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush and Hello Honey.  The background has been created with the Stripy Scallop Thinlits and I added a Papillon Potpourri Butterfly.  Here's the full view of the card. Hello Everyone, Welcome to the Wednesday Card Sketch Challenge at the Paper Craft Crew .  I've decided to use this layout as the basis for my Mother in Law's 80th Birthday Card.  It was her birthday on Sunday, but they've been away and only returned today.  She loves the card.   Here is the sketch below. My first play with Flower Patch Photopolymer Stamps

Image
Hello Everyone, How's your weekend going?  It has been pretty wet for days here, but it seems like we've had another change in the weather and there's even been a little sunshine peaking through the clouds late today.  It was pouring with rain when I drove my daughter to work this morning, but it made a nice change this afternoon, needing sunglasses for the drive home. I've used a new stamp set for today's card called Flower Patch.  There are matching Framelits available called Flower Fair and the two combined can be purchased in a bundle saving you some $$. The beauty of this stamp set is that you can layer these flowers however you like, making your own blooms.  Here's a look at mine. The cardstock used is Basic Black, Whisper White and Pink Pirouette and the patterned paper is from the pack called Back to Black.  I've added one of my favourite butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set too.  The full card is below. Another Blended Bloom Card

Image
Hello Everyone, How's your day been?  I've been busy packaging up some cards for sale today combined with some domestic duties.  Thursdays is a day I like to stay home and get things done.  I did take a few minutes out for a quick skype chat with my good friend Justin before he hit the sack.  Its always great to catch up as he teases me with all the latest craft supplies he already has there, that I haven't yet purchased.  Timing is the thing though with our 14 hour time difference, so I do try not to keep him up too late.   You can find his blog at JK Cards . Hey, I really love these Blendabilities markers.  On the Card I have for you today I've coloured the Blended Bloom image with the Razzleberry set of pens and done the centre with the Daffodil Delight set. Come and have a look. The cardstock I've used is Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White and Basic Black.  The background is kind of cool created by using new Striped Scalloped Thinlits Framelit over the

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch Challenge #106

Image
Hello Everyone, It's Wednesday once again, which means its time for another Paper Craft Crew Sketch challenge. This is the sketch we are working with this week.  We hope you will play along and join us. I've decided to use the stamp set World of Dreams.  Here's my card.  I did take a few liberties with the sketch, altering it ever so slightly by using ribbon instead of a sentiment strip across the card and leaving of the three tiny elements sitting above the circle on this sketch. The cardstock used is Early Espresso and Whisper white with the Patterned paper coming from the 12x12 In Colour paper stack.  I've also used Label Love for the punched Sentiment with the Artisan Label punch and added a punched butterfly using the Bitty Butterfly punch from Lost Lagoon card.. And the closeup view. I've also used the new In Colour ribbon on this card.  I love how all our products colour coordinate.  Please make sure you check out the other exam

Fab Friday 48 Themed Challenge - For Baby

Image
Hello Everyone, Today I've tried out a new set called Celebrate Baby.  It never hurts to have a Baby card on hand as you never know when someone is going to ask you for one.  I intend putting these in the next batch of cards for the Gift store.  Come and have a look.  I was also reminded that the current challenge at Fab Friday is a themed challenge for Baby Cards, so I've decided to enter mine as well.  Congratulations Mindy.  I know the feeling of having your first child.  Becoming a mother changes you for the better and there is no other feeling that comes close to what you feel when you give birth to your first baby. Pink for girls and Blue for boys.  I've also used a new Photopolymer stamp set called Dotty Angles for the yellow dots on the background of these cards.  The Pink card is made using both Pretty in Pink (retired) and Strawberry Slush cardstock with Whisper White and the Blue version is made from Lost Lagoon card shown below. I've also
