A Little Kindness

Image
Hello Everyone, Today's card features a new stamp set for me called Kinda Eclectic.  I was drawn to the images because of the lovely abstract foliage and of course the Butterfly in this set which matches the Elegant Butterfly punch.  Please come and have a look. I've combined the Kinda Eclectic stamp set with Petite Petals and combined and stamped some new colours here including Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon and  Mossy Meadow.  There alre also touches of Perfect Plum and Backed Brown Sugar.  The cardstock is Lost Lagoon and Very Vanilla and the patterned paper comes of the new In Colour 12 x 12 stack.  The full card is pictured below. I've used Apothecary Accent framelits to layer up my sentiment on this card and a touch of new Lost Lagoon Ribbon down the side.  I hope you like today's card.  I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot more of this set.  Have a great day.

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #103

Image
Hello Everyone, Welcome to our Wednesday Sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.   Below is our sketch.  It does feel like its been a long time.  That's because we ran the last sketch over 2 weeks to allow more entries and due to the US Stampin' Up Convention.  Here is the sketch below for this week's challenge. I've used cardstock Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla for my card combined with some Modern Medley patterned paper and layered butterflies using vintage die Beautiful Butterflies and embosslits Beautiful Wings. The Cherry Cobbler background has been embossed with the Fancy Fan embossing folder and the largest butterfly was embossed with the Lacy Brocade one.  The greeting comes from the Petite Pairs stamp set which has been cutout and layered with circle and Artisan Label punches. I can't wait to see what you make for this challenge, so please join us.  Don't forget to visit the Paper Craft Crew site and see what

Peaceful Petals - more colouring with the Blendabilities for Happy Tuesday

Image
Hello Everyone, I'm loving using the Blendabilities at the moment.  I've coloured an image from the Peaceful Petals stamp set again, this time with the Coastal Cabana collection.   This is a similar design to a card I made not long ago, just different colours. Please tell me what you think.  I really like this colour combo. The cardstock is Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Whisper White.  The Crumb Cake panel has been embossed with the Fancy Fan embossing folder. Thanks for stopping by today to see my card.  It truly is a Happy Tuesday today because I just heard some fantastic news, although its too soon to share. Have a great day.

Warmest Wishes with Petite Petals

Image
Hello Everyone, Like yesterday, today's card also combines Blackberry Bliss and Petite Petal stamps.  I've added  Everything Eleanor for the swirl on the background stamped with Whisper White ink and Blooming with Kindness for the Warmest Wishes greeting.  I love how the Whisper White ink changes colour on the Blackberry Bliss cardstock.  I've also added some butterflies from the Beautiful Wings die. Cardstock is Perfect Plum, Whisper White, Blackberry Bliss and Wisteria Wonder and the greeting has been cut out with the Apothecary Accent framelit. The petite petals have been stamped in 4 different coloured inks - Perfect Plum, Blackberry Bliss, Wisteria Wonder and Rich Razzleberry.   Please let me know your thoughts on this card.  I love hearing from you. Have a great day.

Positively Chevron with Blackberry Bliss

Image
Hello Everyone, How has your weekend been? You may remember if you read my blog yesterday that my daughter went out last night to a work function.  The protective mother here is pleased to report that she got home safely, so all is well. Today I've tried out something a little different for the background of my card.  I tried some Whisper White Craft Ink on Blackberry Bliss cardstock the other day and I really like how it soaked into the card and changed colour to a monochromatic shade of the card.  It looks almost like the old shade Orchid Opulence we used to have.  I decided I wanted to try this on the background of my card with the Positively Chevron background stamp.  I love how it turned out.  I teamed it with stamps of Petite Petals and Creative Elements for an oval panel on my card front.  Come see. The cardstock used is Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White and Silver Glimmer.  The panels on the Glimmer and White cards were cut with the Oval Collection framelit

Another Butterfly Birthday card

Image
Hello Everyone, Its the weekend, yippee!! My 15 year old daughter is going out tonight with a group of work friends (first time ever), and I'm a little nervous about it.  I am an over protective Mother I'm told.  I never let her do anything, apparently.  They are going out for dinner.  I hope the girl picking her up is a good driver.  I sound panicky don't I? Onto today's card.  I'm still awaiting a new product order and still using up some retired papers in the meantime.  This card features a strip of Winter Frost specialty patterned paper which I've cut into a banner on this card.  I've also used a fav Butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set layered and set onto a background cut with Deco Label framelits and stamped with the Work of Art stamp set.  Come and have a look at my cool butterfly. The cardstock used is Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana and Whisper White.  The smoky slate layer has been embossed with the Stylish Stripes

Happy Watercolor with Blendabilities

Image
Hello Everyone, Thank god its Friday.  Do you feel like that sometimes? I've made another card today using the Blendability Assortments Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry for this stamped image from the Happy Watercolor set.   Closeup of the image is below. The cardstock used is Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White and Basic Black.  The Rich Razzleberry panel has been embossed with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder and the greeting comes from the Lovely Labels stamp set.  Full view of the card is below. I am absolutely short on time today, but I hope you all have a wonderful day and a great weekend.

Warmest Butterfly Wishes

Image
Hello Everyone, How's your Thursday going?  Today, I'm endeavouring to use up more of my retired Modern Medley patterned paper and some precut Window Framelit pieces from my desk.  I've made another simple Butterfly Birthday card using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits.  Come and have a look. The greeting comes from the Blooming with Kindness stamp set stamped in Bermuda Bay ink.  The Cardstock is Bermuda Bay, Very Vanilla and Basic Black.  Here is the full view of my card. I love this colour combination, and this is the second time I've used it in the last week.  Its because I'm waiting on new stock and really feel I need to use up more of the old first, before it gets here.  I am happy with the result here.  What do you think.  I really would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for stopping by.

In this Together - colouring

Image
Hello Everyone, Yes its Wednesday, but I'm sorry there is a bit of a change of plans this week.  Due to the Stampin Up US Convention last week's Paper Craft Crew Sketch challenge has been extended another week, so I don't have my regular weekly post for you.  Instead, I've done a little more colouring with the Blendabilities.  I've used the stamp set called In this together.  This one's a really cute image that I've coloured of the 2 girls.  Come and have a look. The cardstock I've used is Blackberry Bliss, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Whisper White.  That is some new ribbon in the colour Mossy Meadow that I've used on the side and the Crumb Cake strip has been embossed with the Fancy Fan embossing folder.  Below is the card in full view. I hope you like this one.  I find these girls quite cute.  Have a great day.

Creative Elements Birthday Card

Image
Hello Everyone, Happy Tuesday to you.  Today I've made a square card and used a retired stamp set called Creative Elements.  I've combined it with the little butterflies cut with the Beautiful Wings embosslits and a greeting from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set.  Please come and have a look. This photo shows the stamped focal image with the swirl stamped onto Very Vanilla Card cut with the Hearts collection framelits. The patterned paper is from the retired pack called Modern Medley and the cardstock used is Bermuda Bay, Basic Black and Very Vanilla.  The swirly image from the Creative Elements stamp set was stamped in Black Stazon ink.  I've added a few of the tiny basic pearls randomly over some of the dots along the swirl just to add a bit more detail and dimention. Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope its a happy Tuesday for you.

In this Together

Hello Everyone, Today I'm playing with an image from a new Stamp Set I earned from our Sale-a-bration promotion a little earlier this year.  I waiting to claim my stamp set so I could chose something from the new catalogue, and the cute little ladies in this set appealed to me.  I quite like colouring when I have the time.  Come and have a look at today's card. This stamp says its time to celebrate.  This lady was coloured in with the Blendabilities Skin tone and Rich Razzleberry assortments.  The background patterned paper comes from an older Christmas paper stack and I've used the Oval collection and Deco Label framelits to cut out and mount the image.  My cardstock is Perfect Plum, Blackberry Bliss and Whisper White. Here is the full view of the card. Thanks so much for calling in to view today's card.  Hope to see you again tomorrow.

Lattice Dress Up Card

Image
Hello Everyone, Yes, its another Lattice card today.  Giving it one last whirl, before its gone gone gone.  I think I have a buyer for it, and with any luck I will be sending it onto a new home tomorrow.  This one not only features the Lattice, but also the Dress Up framelits which are another retired product.  Come and have a closer look. The cardstock I've used is Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Pistachio Pudding, Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party with a little bit of Silver Glimmer used as a belt on the dress.  Here's the full view of the card below. I've used the greeting from Another Great Year stamp set stamped in Pool Party on the base of my card and I've embossed the Wisteria wonder skirt of the dress with the Decorative Dots embossing folder. Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a fantastic Sunday.

Lattice Warmest Wishes Card

Image
Hello Everyone, How's the start to your weekend going?  I've got to say it was yet another cool day here on the Sunshine Coast.  I do spare a thought for our Western and Southern friends who have it so much colder than we do.  This small cold snap should only last a couple of days and then it should be a few degrees warmer again. Today's card features the Lattice die which has been retired combined with Papillon Potpourri butterfly and greeting from Blooming with Kindness stamp set.  I've used the Window Framelits to make a window first in my card and adhered the lattice behind it.  Please have a closer look. The cardstock is Basic Black, Pistachio Pudding and Very Vanilla with some patterned paper from the Sweet Sorbet SAB patterned paper. Thanks so much for calling in today to view my card.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Peaceful Petals with Blendabilities

Image
Hello Everyone, What a windy day we're experiencing today.  Trying to peg washing on the line is like a workout in itself, trying to hang on and avoiding being slapped in the face by flying towels as the Hill's hoist spins out of control.  Its very cold, the wind goes right thru and I can feel it in my bones and my fingers are frozen. Here's my latest card I've made playing with the Blendabilities again.  This time I've coloured the stamped images from the Peaceful Petals stamp set. The cardstock is Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White.  The strip of green patterned paper comes from an older pack called Cottage Garden. The full photo of the card is shown below. The greeting comes from the stamp set From My Heart and the layered butterfly comes from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and its punched with the coordinating butterfly punches.  The blendabilities used for this card were the Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Skin tone sets. Thanks so much for s

Vivid Vases

Image
Hello Everyone, Today's card features one of the new single stamps available in the 2014/2015 Catalogue called Vivid Vases.  This is a perfect stamp set for colouring and I've decided to try out some of my Blendabilities markers on this image.  Come and see what you think. I've kept to a simple layout so that the image is the focal point. So I'm still a novice with these markers.  With practice the shading & blending will improve.  I would really like to add a few more sets of colours to my collection as well.  The cardstock used is Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss and Whisper White.  The Blackberry was embossed with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder and the stamped image was cut out with the Deco label framelits.  There's also some new Mossy Meadow ribbon on the card.  Heres the card. I find colouring quite relaxing so thank you for calling in and having a look.

Paper Craft Crew Challenge #102

Image
Hello Everyone, Welcome to Wednesday's Sketch Challenge at the Paper Craft Crew .  Here's the Sketch we are playing with this week. Today my card features Starburst Sayings and some retired paper from the Print Poetry stack teamed with cardstock of Primrose Petals, Crumb Cake and Whisper white.  I've added a layered butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and a little scallop circle from the diecut sheet in the retired specialty pack More Amore.  Here is a closeup look.  The Primrose Petals is a retired in colour which I wanted to use once again.  Its one of the stamp pads I'm willing to sell off cheaper in the retired stock sale. So do you like what I've done with this week's sketch.  We hope you will join the Paper Craft Crew challenge this week and visit our site. Thanks for stopping by.
