Horse in the Stable Thanks

Hello Everyone,

How are you on this Happy Tuesday?  Are you cold like me?  That Foreigner song from the 80's Cold as Ice comes to mind, the lyrics are she's as cold as ice ....LOL.  Hope the cold snap finishes soon and it warms up again to some normal May weather.

Today's card once again uses the stamp set Horse Frontier.  A customer has requested a Horse/Country thank you card so I have another for her to chose from.  This time I created a window and wanted this card to look like a stable with the Horse in the stall.  Here is a closeup of the image.


I used the Chalk Talk framelits tag (upside down) to create my window/stall, stamping some Smoky Slate card with Basic Gray Ink and the Wood Panel background stamp.  The cardstock used is Basic Black, Basic Gray, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate and Very Vanilla, to line the inside.   This next photo shows the card standing.

I've stamped the horse from the Horse Frontier stamp set onto Crumb Cake card with Soft Suede Ink and cut him out and positioned behind the window cutout. 

Here is the final photo of my card which I held closed so you can see how the horse sits in the stall.



The greeting comes from the stamp set called Oh Hello.

Hello Everyone, Welcome to our Wednesday card sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew.  Here's our sketch this week    I'm using some designer papers called Merry Moments combined with Festival of Trees stamp and greeting from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  The cardstock used is Whisper White and Smoky Slate with inks of Old Olive and Real Red.  The greeting comes from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and has been punched out with the Washi Tape punch. Here's a closer look.  I love how the Designer papers add so much colour this this card.  The Festival of trees stamp has been combined with the Tree punch for this card. Light up your Christmas

Hi Everyone, You all know how I love my Easel Cards right?  Well I've added a little light to them in the form of the little battery operated candles.  Neil bought me some boxes of them online.  I've been playing around with a couple of different designs which are for an upcoming class of very Special Christmas cards with my group but thought you might like to see them.  This is the first one I've done using the retired stamp set Christmas Lodge.  It's a gorgeous set with this beautiful tree and really suits a vintage style Christmas Card.  I've also used the Deco Label Framelits which are fast becoming a favourite and the Beautifully Baroque and Fancy Fan Embossing Folders. The Cardstock is Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. I have the light on so you can see the gorgeous effect from the little candle.  Here is a photo when it's off.
