Create with Connie and Mary 257

Hi Everyone,

How was your weekend?  Gee we've had some cold weather.  Not something I'm used to or prepared for, as here near the Coast it's usually relatively mild in Winter.

There is a sketch challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary this week which I was keen to play along with.

Here is what I've made.

The base of my card is Crumb Cake with a layer of Rich Razzleberry card.  I've created a layered tag for my main shape on this card to fit with the sketch below.

I've cut my Crumb Cake tag out with the Two Tags die which is on our Retiring List and stamped a piece of Very Vanilla card, cut to size with French Foliage and Artistic Etchings stamp sets.  Can you guess, I am trying to use retiring products?  A simple birthday banner goes across my tag and I've added a Flower Trim, swiped across the inkpad to colour the centre, Little Leaves die cut from Crumb Cake and a strip of Baby wiped background (a technique I've been playing with the last week) to represent the ribbon running across the top of the sketch.
This is the sketch below.

I've changed my card slightly to a standard sized card, but there was a bit of fun to be hand deciding on the shapes in the centre here per the sketch.

What do you think of my card.  Does it resemble (ever so slightly) the sketch above?  I can't wait to get my hands on some of the new Framelit shapes which will be available in our new catalogue starting 2nd July here in Australia.  Pop over to Create with Connie and Mary and you will see some more ideas and inspiration for this sketch challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you will leave some comments for me while visiting.  Enjoy your day.
