JAI 137 Challenge

Image
How's everyone this Sunday, It's turned a little cooler here today with a few showers about, so I've been indoors today and it's given me a chance to make a card for the latest challenge at Just Add Ink .  Here is the sketch. Here is my card based on the sketch I've used the stamp set Come to Bethlehem stamped on Very Vanilla Apothecary Accent Framelit over a base card of Early Espresso and Candlelight Christmas Dsp from the Holiday Mini with a few Champagne Glimmer paper accents and some paper piercing.  My card is DL Size (ie. longer skinny card). Please let me know what you think.   Until next time .....................

Paper Players Sketch Challenge PP114

Image
Hi Everyone, Today we have visitors, my husband's cousin and his boy, who is same age as my eldest girl, so I'll have to be quick with this post between organising meals. I've made my card based on this sketch here  Here is my card for the Paper Players Challenge On this card I've used the Blooming with Kindness Stamp set and the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder, inked inside with brayer and Soft Suede ink over the First Edition Dsp.  I've also used Square Lattice and Fancy Fan Embossing folders on this card, so there's lots of texture and a real vintage feel to it. Thanks for looking and please feel free to leave me a comment.

Sponging

Image
Hi Everyone, While I've had the sponges out for the Faux Patina work, I've decided to try a few sponged cards with the French Foliage Set.  Now I do struggle doing a simple card and one layer numbers as I really like to add layers, but I've tried to hold myself  back.  I've seen lots of lovely inspiration on Pinterest lately, so here are mine. The Sympathy Card at the top has a base of Wisteria Wonder and the second card is truly a one layer card out of Confetti White.  The greeting is from the set Blooming with Kindness, with some paper piercing. What do you think, have I achieved the look?  I hope so. I wanted to add a few fun pics of some Tim Tams before they are totally demolished in this household again.  We are lovers of Tim Tams, but I haven't been able to indulge in them myself  for some time.  I'm off to the Dentist again soon. I'll share them with whoever wants to come visit, but you've got to beat the girls to them.  Once

Freshly Made Sketches 53 challenge

Image
Hi Everyone, I've made another card for a challenge This is the sketch by Tui for this weeks challenge at Freshly Made Sketches Actually as soon as I saw the sketch I knew exactly what I could do with it.  Being a clean challenge it lent itself to one single stamped image in the centre.  No prizes for guessing what I've used. Yes, a butterfly from the Stamp Set Papillon Potpourri, and it's layered by colouring and punching another with the Elegant Butterfly punch.  I've used the Itty Bitty Banners set for the greeting and the papers are from the pack Floral District.  Cardstock I've used is Basic Black for the base, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White. Thanks for looking, and please feel free to leave me a comment.

Some Christmas Cards using the Faux Patina Technique

Image
Hi Everyone, Here are a couple of cards I've made recently with the Faux Patina Technique.  A couple of different colour combos again, plus a different embossing folder - Lacy Brocade from the Holiday Mini.  The Greetings are also from the Holiday Mini. The base of this card is Elegant Eggplant and the colours used on the background are Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Rose Red and Elegant Eggplant. On this card I've used Cardstock of Sahara Sand and Raspberry Ripple with the background  coloured with Crumb Cake, Lucky Limeade, Summer Starfruit and Rich Razzleberry.   The greeting is stamped with Raspberry Ripple to match the card mat. Thanks for looking.  Please feel free to leave me a comment when  you stop by.  I love to know who's visited me.

JAI 135 Colour Challenge

Image
Hi Everyone, I've decided to enter this weeks Just Add Ink challenge which is a colour challenge to use Pink Pirouette, Real Red, Whisper White and Old Olive.  http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com.au/ Here is my card. I've used the sets Fabulous Florets and Apothecary Art for the greeting plus a little butterfly from the Kindness Matters set.  You may also spot a few new products two including the Large Doily die and the Fancy Fan embossing folder used on the white.  That is a little bit hard to see.  The leaves are stamped onto one of the new Framelits dies too. Thanks for looking

More Faux Patina

Image
Hi Everyone, It's Sunday night here and I wanted to share some of my latest cards I've just completed using the Faux Patina technique again.  I really love the colour I've achieved on the backgrounds. The first is a twisted easel card featuring Apothecary Art set This is definately my favourite card this week and I've show some of the detail in closeup.  On the labels I've used the rest the easel top against, I've also added a butterfly from the stamp set Papillon Potpourri double layered with a second one punched out with the Elegant Butterfly punch. The Colours used on the faux patina background were Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Old Olive and Not Quite Navy.  This combination looks great with the Island Indigo Card base and First Edition Dsp. This card is all about those beautiful butterflies placed on the background and the Birthday greeting from the Perfectly Penned set becomes a feature on the card. Thanks for looking.

Some Masculine Cards

Image
Hi Everyone, After making a lot of pretty cards of late with my new sets I thought I should make a couple of cards for the Guys, particularly as there was a Birthday yesterday that I wanted a card for. I've used the set Need for Speed, which isn't new, it's a carryover set from the last catalogue. This is an Easel card that I've made for a friend's birthday using the car image from the set and the greeting is from a set called Wordplay.  The patterned paper is from the Festival of Prints paper stack in the Holiday Mini. I then made this card from some of the extra pieces and the same stamp set using the boat image while it was still out on my desk.  I'll have this one handy for my stash. Thanks for looking.

Everything Eleanor

Image
Hello on this Monday Night, My parcel arrived today, yay!   My first order from our September Annual Catalogue and Holiday Mini placed on 1st September.  I had to ink up the set Everything Eleanor straight away to try it out and I put it on a card using a new technique for me, that I've just tried out called Faux Patina. I hope you like it The inks used on the background were Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Lucky Limeade and Early Espresso. Many pretty backgrounds can be created by changing up the ink colours on the technique.  I've also stamped the flowers on Very Vanilla card with Early Espresso Ink and sponged them with daubers using Crumb Cake and Lucky Limeade.

Annual Catalogue Launch

Image
Hello Everyone, I've had a very busy lead up to this year's launch, and feel like I could  sleep for a week now that we're done. Actually, I came home and had a little nanna nap truth be told, while my children fended for themselves.  They polished off a packet of Tim Tams while I was asleep.   It was a very enjoyable day and great to catchup with the girls socially too. Here are pics of some of my displays These were some of the products appearing in the Holiday Mini catalogue together with some cards I've made with the Scentsational Seasons bundle. These are a collection of cards I made with the Patio Party Designer Series papers and In Colours from the Annual Catalogue. The next pictures featured Floral District and Comfort Cafe Designer series papers, In Colours and new Stamp Sets Layered Labels and Betsy's Blossoms and the last picture shows the In Colours, mainly Primrose Pink with the Fabulous You (shoe) stamp set and Kindness matters s
